Eugene could feel his heart bumping faster and faster with each passing second. He was nervous, I mean really nervous. It was funny just how damn scared he was doing this. It was such a simple task. All he needed to do was meet with an informat to get information about a man that could help him and his master out. That was all there was to it. It was a mostly harmless task. He had seen worse, hell some day he might have to do worse. When one worked with the kind of monster that he worked with it was only a matter of time before he might have to do worse for the sake of his master. He knew this yet he was scared of what he was doing now. The person he was going to be meeting worked in the underground. People like that were not scared little kids like him. They were mean, vicious, and scary. They had to be in order to survive. What kind of person was he going to meet? What ever kind of man he was about to face would have to be scary if they were going to help him find the man he was after. The boy shivered just thinking about this meeting. God he just wanted this to be over, just get the information he needed, get in touch with the guy he was after, and bring him back to his master so he wouldn't have to face punishment. Eugene pulled his phone out and eyed the text message on his phone. Come sit on the bench by the play ground @2:30 tomorrow it read. How long had it been since he sat down ten? Fifteen minutes? He did come a bit early just in case something were to happen. There was only five minutes left till the informat was suppose to show up. Five more minutes for him to sit here and brood until whoever it was showed up. ********************************************
It was nice and sunny out today, the perfect time of day for Loki to head out to the park. Loki was enjoying himself quite a bit on his little walk, taking in all the sights, sounds, and even smells as he kept a sharp eye out on the time on his phone. He would have loved to continue his leisurely stroll of the park but there wasn't much time left. He had a job to do. At least this one might be a quick one. Information jobs were some of the more easier freelancing work that Loki could do, even easier than his usual delivering job. Once you knew how to gather it, or what to gather it was easy to learn a living off of it. The longer he was at it the better he got. He had a long way to go from being able to compete with the big boys in the business but he was doing pretty well for himself. It was a little early for him to meet today's client but Loki started to make his way over to the meeting spot. There was no reason not to head over now while he was here. Being early was always good for business right? As Loki headed over to the playground he found the client he came to see already sitting there on the bench. He couldn't help but stop and look at the other boy on the bench. It was strange to see someone so young coming to him for this kind of thing, even when he knew his client had to be no older than he was from the message left on his voice mail. Kids didn't belong in this kind of business, well, kids that looked as innocent as this one didn't. “You look nervous.” Loki said as he walked up and took his place next to the other kid on the bench. The way the human jumped almost made him laugh but he held back just enough to keep a chuckle from getting past his smiling face. “Relax kid, if you look so shady people will start to suspect that you are up to no good and that is the last thing you want when getting into this kind of business.” “W-wait...are you?”“The guy you hired? Yup. I know what you are going to say. No this is not some joke or a setup. I am the real thing, I might not look it but this is what you get for what you pay for. You got the cash?” Loki watched as the human fumbled through his pockets to provide a small roll of cash. Loki gently took the cash out of the boy's hands and counted it. “Looking good so far. I am sure whoever directed you to me warned you that you might have to pay depending on the nature of the information you ask me to give to you?” Loki smiled when the human gave him a weak nod. “Good. Another word of warning to you I only give refunds when I can't provide the info you seek. That doesn't apply to news that you don't want to hear. If you are dissatisfied with what I have to say that is your problem not mine. So lets get down to business. What do you want from me?” There was a brief period of silence as the human boy looked away, fidgeting in his seat as he seemed to wrestle for the words to say. What was with this kid? What did he need to know so badly that he looked so damn scared to speak? “I-I'm looking for someone...” he finally spoke. Talk about being vague. “Who?”“I-i don't know...not exactly...I m-mean. I...I don't know him directly...or have seen his face but I heard about him...it's a freelancer guy. H-hes called the Devil's godsend...”Well wasn't this an interesting turn of events. The moment that the human said that name Loki knew exactly who he was talking about. The Devil's Godsend was one of the underground's nicknames for Loki's friend Azazel. This kid was walking in dangerous territory if he was asking for Azazel from him. The fallen angel kept his work life and his private life separate so not a lot of people knew about Loki's bond with him. It was pretty easy to keep that secret for the most part and that was the way Loki liked to keep it for his friend's sake. Who would have thought that the day would come that he would have to deal with something like this? What was he going to do here? He couldn't just give information out on his friend without knowing why someone was looking for the guy. Loki chuckled so he wouldn't give his concerns away. “Devil's Godsend? Now that's a silly contradictory name if I ever heard of it. Though from what I heard about the guy he's anything but amusing. As freelancers go he's one of the best, and one of the most dangerous. What's a guy like you want from him?”“I-its not for me but my ma- boss...I just need to know h-how to contact him for a j-job. Please, can you tell me s-something? Anything?” Loki looked into the other boy's eyes. There was definitely more to this than what the guy was saying, but the look in the boy's eyes seemed sincere. He looked scared, desperate, someone that needed help but didn't know where to turn. But why? Why did he want Azazel's help? “Contacting devil's boy isn't so simple as you might think, and like any of the bigger guys in the business he doesn't just work for anyone or any task. You might want to consider hiring someone else-”“No it has to be him! I...my boss...my boss said it has to be him. He's the only one that can do this. If I can't get him to do this she could die. All I need is for some way to get in touch with him. Please, I will do whatever you want or pay you however much you want if you can give me something!”Loki sighed as he thought the human's words over. He wasn't sure what he should do here. This could be some sort of trap being laid out for his friend and he wouldn't even know it. Though just listening to this kid made him have second thoughts about this. If this was true, and there was promise of work here he would be a fool not to give Azazel a heads up about this. With another sigh Loki got up. “I am not sure I can give you what you want, but I will see what I can do. I have a few contacts that might know how to get in touch with your man. I will give them a call and see what I can do. Just stay where you are and I will return. I mean it. Don't move.” With that Loki left the kid behind and headed to a more secluded area of the park. After being sure he hadn't been followed he pulled out his cell to send Azazel a text. Hey are you free right now? I might have found a job for you. Message, call, or meet me at the park if you are interested. I don't think its a trap but be on guard just to be safe.

On a day where it was nice and sunny, Azazel decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to relax and lounge around his apartment. It had been a while since he was able to. With being away on the constant go and working around the city, it would be nice to sleep in his own home. Azazel decided that the best way to enjoy his day off was to start it off with a prayer. He took a moment to say his thanks to his father, whether God was listening to him or not. Asking for forgiveness from the things he committed during the various amount of jobs. He had hurt many people while he was away. Did some unspeakable things in order to get the job done. Yeah the cash is great and all but being that angel he is, it hurts him but not as much as it did before. Looks like he's losing that nerve of righteous from these acts. He sighed. " Father continue to watch over me and forgive me for my sins." Azazel said looking up to the ceiling. He paused for a moment like he always did. Hoping that maybe one day and I mean one day that God would come down and talk to him, restoring him back to his former glory.
And like always there was no answer, causing him to sigh and get up off his knees. He reached for his smokes and light one of them up. He begins the relaxing mode he had set for himself. Usually he wouldn't smoke inside unless he was too lazy to go outside or if Loki was in the room. But his roommate happen to go on a job himself today. Azazel warned the kid if any trouble happened that he couldn't handle, he was suppose to give the angel the heads up. He would use his divine power to travel there and help the kid out. But Loki ensure him that everything would alright for the person was asking only for some information. Which would be an easy job for Loki to handle anyway. Azazel took a long drag from the cigarette and blow out a huge cloud of smoke towards the ceiling. The fallen angel was enjoying himself for his off-day. But apparently he wouldn't be able to enjoy his day-off for Loki would do that.
Suddenly, Azazel got an text from the kid. Asking if the angel was free and that he had an job for him. Azazel grumbled and muttered to himself. "Damn it Loki..," he groaned as he sent an text. " Yeah..I'm free. Tell me the details while I'm heading to the park." He stretched some, knowing peace is granted to those young and dead. He shook his head as he put on some street clothes. He grabbed his dagger, slipping it away in his pocket as he headed out the door. "Another day, another dollar."

Loki waited for some kind of answer after he sent his text to Azazel. He wasn't too happy that he had to do something like this. Loki's friend was a pretty busy guy most of the time. He was normally gone for long hours at a time, sometimes he wasn't home for a few days. It was rare for Loki to even see the man before he left to do his own thing like today. There was a chance that Azazel didn't have work today, while that was good for his potential client, this new job offer would take up what free time the angel had left. He felt bad just thinking about it but what was done was done. Besides, there was something about this whole mess that didn't smell right. He believed this kid was sincere about the job but there were a lot of details that were left unsaid. There was no way that Loki could get this kid to spill out that information without cluing him in on just how well he knew the guy the human was after. If either one of them was going to get more out of the human Azazel needed to be there to help lower his guard.
It didn't take long for Loki to get a reply. Well, at least he wouldn't have to give the guy a refund. I couldn't get much out of the client in question. Loki started typing out. He insisted on getting a hold of you for this, says its for his boss. I didn't get much out of him beyond that. I didn't want to push him too hard since he looked pretty freaked out. I didn't tell him I knew you outright in case this was some kind of track. The guy in question seems harmless though. Harmless for the moment anyway. Maybe the human boy was harmless but his 'boss' might not be as innocent looking as this kid. Now that Azazel was going to to arrive soon it was a good chance to squeeze some information out of the human. There was no way in hell that Loki was going to call Azazel all the way down here for nothing or lead him into some trap. He needed answers.
Loki shoved his phone back in his pocket before heading back to the boy on the bench. “I've got good news for you kid. My contacts were able to get a hold of the guy you were looking for. Your freelancer was interested enough in your case that he is making his way over to see you right now.” The look on the human's face was priceless. His face was the perfect embodiment of shock and awe that he couldn't help but laugh. “Pick your jaw back up kid, we are only just getting started. If you want devil boy's help you need to give me more details about this job. I need to know exactly what's going on so I can relay the details.” Loki watched the boy fidget nervously once more as he waited on a response. Whatever this job was it was bad enough to make him too scared to speak about it out loud. The shifter reached out to give the other boy a comforting pat on the back. “It's okay, you can trust me enough to tell me what's going on. I promise that nothing bad is going to happen if you do.”
“It's a little hard to explain...” the human sighed, still struggling to find the words to explain his situation. “My boss....he can ask her for the whole story...but...the jist of it is she needs protection and the guy she wants is the only one that can do it.”
“Why is he the only one that can do it? Does she know him personally or something?”
“I doubt it.” the human gave him a small smile as he spoke. “But she knows what he is, and she needs someone like him to protect her from the man that is after her.”

Azazel was still a bit steamed about being asked for on his day off. He silently curses and asks for forgiveness from his father for the words escaping his mind. He sighed, really wanting to relax for once back at home. As the pleasant thoughts of him being back in his home and sleeping, he gets distracted thanks to Loki once more. He grumbles some as he looks at his phone.
Reading the words in the text message. He stopped dead in his tracks and eyed the message. A human was asking for him. Now he would understand if it was someone supernatural. Rarely it would be a human that was asked about him. Plus they knew about his nickname that was bestowed to him. The Devil's Godsend. A ridiculous prestige, title, name that was given to him for one incident. One incident that he didn't have any control well for the most part. Azazel look up to the sky as he walk, reminiscing.
On one job before,Azazel was told to get the money of a shop owner back that was wronged by a pretentious prick. The guy sent some of his guys to break Azazel before he could reach the leader. Azazel's anger got the better of him and he couldn't control it. He beat the target senseless and took down their entire operation. Which included the building itself along with a block or two. It was rebuild and everything but Azazel had left an ever-lasting effect. And with those that knew what he was, they saw him more as a devil than an angelic being. Azazel took a deep breathe before he continue to walk. But now in deep thought he was wondering why the human was asked about him in general. He look once again at the text and noticed the word "boss". Azazel thought to himself," What in the fiery pits of hell is their motive."
Azazel was getting curious about this more and more with each passing second. A human, a boss that isn't there, and the fallen angel. This combination isn't the best as he would like it to be. It's weird and not connecting any of the dots. Azazel started to think about all of those that he had contact with before. No lines were being drawn. It was pissing him off some but he relax very quick. He thought about how the human wouldn't be a problem but this boss who knew about Azazel while the angel knew nothing about them was bothering them. He could try to interrogate the human once he got there as much as possible or just play again with this game of follow the leader to their base.
Azazel lit up another cigarette, trying to clear his head as he text back Loki. " Weird...be on your guard. I just made it to the park so I should there in like a few minutes." Azazel was getting more and more curious as he tried to understand their game and motive. He had made it to the park and was walking towards Loki that he stopped from afar. " Time to get some answers," Azazel said to himself, trying to figure everything that was happening. He stood in-front of both of the males and look down at them both. " Now what's this about the Devil's Godsend?"

Eugene could hardly believe his eyes when he finally met his informat. He had been expecting someone scarier, or at least some kind of shady looking creep. But the guy he met was nothing like that at all. He looked...normal. The blond guy that came to his side couldn't have been much older than he was. He seemed nice too, all smiles and laughter even when he was giving him the run down of how things were suppose to go down. How did a guy like this end up doing what he was doing now? He should be in school, he seemed to be smart enough to do well there, he would be popular too no doubt. Then again he was one to talk. At least this kid was confident to be in the kind of business he was in unlike himself. Eugene was pathetic, he had always been a very shy and quiet guy, the kind of guy that everyone treated like a doormat because he was too weak to defend himself. He knew he didn't belong where he was now, he could barely pull himself together to get the information he needed out of this other guy. But life had different plans for him. To save himself and what was left of his family he sold himself to the only person who could save his miserable existence. Now his soul and body belonged to her. That was the price he had to pay every single day. Like it or not he was here now, and now it was time to do what he could to save his master. That meant trying to get whatever he could about the Devil's Godsend. He hoped to god that this guy had something on the elusive man. Eugene had tried different sources before to track the man down but all of them had been a waste of effort. It seemed like the man he was after was not well known in the human circuit so he had to try something that hit a little closer to home. It was harder than he thought it was tracking down anyone who knew about the supernaturals in town, but after a few days of hard work he had found some guy going by the name L. L was not well known as an informat but he was the only one that fellow supernaturals went to. If this guy was L he could tell why. Eugene still felt new to the supernatural world despite being born a warlock. Until his master took him in he had only known fellow witches. But as ignorant as he had been in the past he could tell that the guy he was talking to was not human. He knew a shapeshifter when he saw one now. A shapeshifter was no angel but maybe he could help him track down one. Little did the young man know that L had more of a relationship with the freelancer he was looking for than he led him to believe. Eugene didn't have a lot of hope for this meeting, he was expecting the same song and dance he had heard constantly for the past few days. At most he hoped that maybe he could get the name of someone that did know how to get in touch with the fallen angel. But instead of that he got something even better. The boy was shocked, so much so that he couldn't think of the words to say, Before he could even say his thanks his informat had wandered off. Eugene sunk back into his seat, breathing a sigh of relief as he did what he was told and waited for L's return. His search might finally be over soon, but could he really relax now? There was the chance that L couldn't reach the guy. Even if he did Eugene still had to speak with the man once he did show up to make his plea. That was going to be the hard part. ******************************************************************************
It was done. With the message sent, and Azazel arriving soon all Loki needed to do now was wait with his client and watch everything fall into place. First things first, he needed to get more information about this mission that was being offered up. The human wasn't looking to hire him but that didn't mean that this was none of his business. Azazel was Loki's closest friend, he was deeply indebted to the man that he couldn't forgive himself if he ended up leading him into some kind of trap. The chances were slim that this was a trap but he still had his suspicions. Now was a good time to make sure everything was alright before Azazel showed up. Loki made his way back over to the human and tried to coax whatever information that he could out of the guy without setting off any alarm bells in the kids head. The boy was still pretty nervous but he was starting to open up a little more about the situation. Sadly it wasn't enough to get more details than before. The story remained much of the same, he was looking for Azazel because his superior insisted on hiring the angel. But why? Loki didn't think he could get any answers asking directly since he had started this conversation acting like he didn't know Azazel personally so he tried to be less direct. Whoever it was looking for Azazel didn't know him on any personal level according to the kid. What the human was saying had to be the truth from the looks of it. But that could just be the truth from his perspective. Just because he worked for this mysterious lady didn't mean he knew everything about her. She could have lied, or he might not have been around long enough to know about any history between the two. If he was telling the truth though there were still the question of why she wanted Azazel so badly. He was about to try to ask again when when he heard the topic in question greet them. “That was fast.” Loki chimed in. The shifter stood up and smiled up at his not to happy friend. “I'm sorry for calling you all the way out here on your day off, but my friend over there insisted that he had to see you as soon as possible.” Loki turned to glance over at the human who looked like a deer caught in headlights the second he set sights on Azazel. He had to keep himself from laughing at the scene playing before him. “You got the bare bones idea of what he wants but its probably better if he gives you the run down himself, right kid?” It seemed to take a moment for the human boy's brain to kick in after Loki spoke. He was so surprised by Azazel that he his brain seemed to stop functioning altogether, but once Loki prompted him to speak life sparked back into his eyes. Loki watched as the boy tried to open his mouth to speak before jumping up and getting on all floors to kneel at Azazel's feet. “S-sorry for disturbing you sir, b-but I really need your help.” the boy mumbled into the dirt, once again Loki had to fight back the urge to laugh. Boy was this scene just too good to be real. Taking a deep breath to help himself keep it all together Loki knelt down beside the human boy. “You need to calm down buddy. You aren't some lowly peasant kneeling before your king, you don't have to bow down for him.” Loki gently helped the young man back on his feet and gave him another friendly pat on the back to help him calm down. “Why don't we start off simple. Tell us your name and what you want.” “M-my name's Eugene.” The boy stammered. “I-I'm sorry for being so vague with my request but I can't tell you all the details.” Eugene lowered his gaze for a moment as he thought over what he wanted to say before he spoke up again. “T-This request isn't for me but for someone I work with. Something bad has happened. She angered someone very powerful and very dangerous. S-she needs someone powerful to help take this guy down. Or at least protect her from him. The only being c-capable of doing so is someone with a lot of holy power...someone like you.” Eugene finally looked up at Azazel as he spoke. “Sir, you are the only angel in this town that could help. My boss is willing to pay you well, or give you whatever you want to do this task...if y-you're willing that is.”

The time was come to meet this human that asked about the fallen angel. His mind was still racing with thoughts and assumptions. Apparently the angel had a scowl across his face as he stood there in front of both of the smaller males. His eyes were narrowed more than they were suppose to.This human knew about him, he normally didn't have a problem with that. Yet this one knew of him, knew what he was and who he was. According to this person mysterious boss that wants Azazel for a job.
He look over at Loki and listened to the words that came from his mouth. "You know I hardly get to be home like this L. I hope this job is worth it," Azazel remarked as he smirk some to the side. He popped his neck from side to side. Loki introduced the guy that contacted the fallen angel who was in shock and awe of the sight of Azazel. He must had thought the angel look like regular guy instead of an angel. Well this what happens when you fallen from grace. Azazel rolled his eyes some as he was a bit annoyed with the constant stare. The kid finally dropped his head from Azazel and went quiet for the moment.
He directed his entire focus to the human boy in front of him. The kid was fidgeting a lot and seem to be scary out of his wits that would provide entertainment that would love this. Apparently Loki was trying his hardest not to laugh. Azazel couldn't blame him for not laughing at this guy. The kid was not a threat at all. He could barely do anything if he wanted to the angel. For Loki was here and the "Devil's Godsend" doesn't go down as easily.
As the kid was to begin, he was still shaking and going about of being nervous. "For the love of our holy father thou in Heaven just go on with it," Azazel said with this facade of being an asshole. It was a motive he would use just to enough information from the source. It was a way for the information to come out quick as possible and easy for the angel to understand. Loki went over to the kid and reassured him. Azazel, still playing the part, scoffed to the side and crossed his arms some. He really wanted to know what the guy had in stored for him before he agreed to help him and their boss out.
As Eugene spoke the angel's mind began to race to narrow down who was wanting his help so much. Too much to no prevail as the clues were not drawing together. He lean himself over the young boy with his eyes glowing a bit with a wicked grin across his face. " You say I'm the only angel in the area, huh? I hardly believe that. But I am the only one that is willing to work as a freelancer." Azazel hold onto the back of the bench that the kid sat on, gripping it tightly. He was trying to get some information from the client as he wasn't entirely on board for this job. " Now tell me one thing what is your boss? Not many humans know what I am and I would like to keep it that way. I believe I'm entitled to that information as I'm about accept this job." Azazel lean his face in to the kid. He could sense the fear that the kid was letting flow. " Plus the payment will be arranged however before I accept the job I need to know," Azazel lean in towards the guys ear. " What is your boss?"

Whether this little up would end good or bad Loki couldn't say, but there was one thing he could be sure of. That it was going to be very entertaining. Loki had been around Azazel long enough to know how he worked, and only a few minutes talking with his client he knew they would clash. Azazel could act like a down right asshole when it came to work. He had to play the tough guy in his kind of work so he just fell into the role naturally. Loki knew what the human was going to be dealing with the second that Azazel came on the seen. The same couldn't be said for the human though. The young human male was so nervous just talking to Loki alone. He was not ready for facing the man dubbed 'Devil's Godsend'. It was written all over the poor boy's face. Man Loki was loving this. He couldn't help but crack a smile watching the two other males interact with each other. But that was all that he did. Azazel wasn't the only one that could put up an act when he needed to. Loki had plenty of experience putting on a mask from the time he could speak. He had to in order to live with his father to avoid as much punishments as he possibly could. This kid's antics were not going to break it.
While Azazel was the tough guy, Loki fell into his more gentle role. While Azazel told the human off, he helped pick him up and get him focused. But beyond that he let the two speak. Azazel was the one that Eugene wanted, not him. If he wanted to get the angel to accept this job of his he would have to learn to speak up and hold the older man's interest. Between the boy's internal struggles and stammering he was able to talk at least, but just like the last few times he didn't offer up much in terms of info. Loki shook his head as he watched this train wreck take off. This was not good enough. There was definitely something up with this mission that Eugene was not tell them. It didn't take a genius to see that something about this was fishy. It didn't surprise Loki in the least that Azazel was quick to pick up on it and started grilling the human. Loki watched in complete silence as Azazel started questioning the boy on why he was hunting down an angel like him. Now that was a good question. Why did he need an angel so badly?
“W-well...that's what I meant by only a-angel.” the boy tried to explain. “A-angels aren't easy to find a-and your the only one my boss knew about so-”
“So you had to track him down.” Loki finished for him. “You do have a point there, There are not a lot of angels chilling in the city. But that doesn't mean that they are impossible to find. So the question remains, why this one in particular? Why would you need an angel period?” Angels were very powerful creatures but they were more effect against certain types of creatures. Those creatures, unlike angels, seemed to be more common than Loki would like to think about. The shifter could already guess what Eugene's boss needed protection from. If his assumption was right then why was the human being so secretive about? He knew what he was dealing with. He had gone so far to find an angel to hire to protect his employer so why not say that upfront. There had to be something about this boss that made the human hesitant to speak about her.
Loki didn't need to ask what he was thinking because Azazel was already on it. It was now or never, he could see the fear and hesitation written all over the poor human's face. At this rate they would never get an answer out of him. Not without trying a different tactic anyway. “What's the matter? You can't tell us what your boss is?” Loki chimed in when Eugene fell uncomfortably silent once more. “Fine. If you won't say anything I will take an educated guess. Judging from your request, if you are looking for an angel the person after your boss is probably a demon, or at least something close to that. Angels are pretty powerful supernaturals but they are even more effective against demons than anything else. They are the most effect demon slayers, but angels aren't a demons only weakness. Any witches worth their salt can kill a demon with the right kind of magic. There are plenty of witch freelancers that could do just that you could hire. Failing that there are plenty of other ways to kill a demon. Getting your hands on holy items and weapons isn't that hard, or looking up seals and rituals is not that difficult. Trust me on this I did my research.”
“There are plenty of ways to kill a demon without an angel. So there is no reason to go looking for an angel for hire to do it...unless the other methods of eliminating a demon might be a bit problematic to use...say if said boss might be vulnerable to said tactics...” Loki's smile turned a little more wicked than it had before, there it was, the look in the eye that told him he had hit his mark. “You don't have to say it. I think I know the answer as to what your boss is already but if you want help you have to be the one to say it. “Is your boss a demon?” Silence fell again as Eugene sat there. Loki almost wanted to smack some sense into the guy. The little shifter already called him out and his silence was only helping to make his case. At some point he needed to just man up and say it.
“...Yes...” He had spoken so softly at first that Loki almost missed his response, but somehow the human found the courage to speak up. “Yes. She is a demon. But please just hear me out before you reject this....My boss- no...my master isn't as bad as you probably think...she's not good...but she is the lesser evil in all of this. I-I'm not just saying this because I am some mindless servant or traitor to my own kind...the person who is after her is planning to do something that could endanger the lives of everyone in this city. When they found out that my master was trying to stop them from behind the scenes they turned their sights on her. If she dies the last person that could save this city from ruin will be gone, and its last chance with it. It's...probably not ideal for you guys but this isn't something you can just walk away from without a second thought. So please...can you help me?”

"Great. Just frigging great," Azazel said to himself out loud. His eyes were closed but fixed on the kid before him. "How could this kid be under the control and guidance of a demon?!" Azazel asked Loki without turning himself over towards his line of vision. When he opened his eyes, Azazel didn't realize that his eyes were completely blood shot red and black. This had to startled the kid for he was shaking more than was before. It didn't bother Azazel at all for he was entirely pissed about this new information.
A million thoughts, assumptions, clues and hints just went out the window as Azazel rubbed his hair to the side. It wasn't even close to his mind that the person who wanted him on the job would be a demon. His grip nearly snapped the back of the bench the kid was sitting on. Now this is where things would be getting conflicted. See the thing that Azazel detested the most than not able to go back to his home in heaven. It is demons. Demons are the scum of the earth in the eyes of Azazel. And the fact, people called him the Devil's Godsend just pissed him off more. This human would just referred to this demon as his master. A human serving a demon was just usurped. God, humans were weak creatures to be so easily persuaded by demons. Just promising them power seems to do it. Azazel sighed deeply. It just adding more fuel to the fire. He lets out a loud yell as he reeled himself from the bench.
He wanted to cleansed this lowly human from the clutches of the demon. He believed that there's no way in God's green earth that someone would be willing to be a servant for a demon. " A demon...," Azazel paused as his back was turned away from the kid. " A demon. Of all things you serve a demon. Why?" Azazel ordered with his tone a bit harsher than earlier. How could a demon be any help for the city. Demons know nothing but destruction, pain, misery and oppression. His battles with demons were not pretty and easy. It left him darker and full of more remorse than anything. There was no pleasure in dealing with demons with an angel.
His fists were clenched and glowing a bit. His anger was getting the better of him once more. The malice he wanted to do to this demon for taking advantage of Eugene was growing more. Azazel took deep breathes to get himself back at a relax state of mind and being. It eventually work but he was still bothered by the idea of an demon being in control and needing his help.
Demons were always beneath the fallen angel and being compared to them was more of an insult than anything. He heard the last part of what the kid said about not being able to walk away from this job, making the irritated angel to scoff. "Is that so? Not all angels are goody two shoes y'know. Now that I know who I'm working for I'm entitled to decline." However Azazel wasn't entitled to do so. Contracts are contracts and not doing one of them means no cash in the pockets of the angel.
Homeless, starving and broke is not a good combination to have at all. Despite the fact he has to deal with an demon of all things made it hard to accept it. Azazel sigh and look over at Loki for a moment before speaking to the boy with his back turned. "But doing that would give me a bad rep so I'll help with one expectation. L has come with me no buts." Azazel had to stay on top of this negotiation with his client. An angel helping a demon, what would others think of him for doing this. Azazel, the greedy scapegoat, finally join his demonic counterparts to be one with his demonic side. The nerve. Azazel would have to suck his pride for once and try not to smite the demon when he see her... This is going to be tough.

Leave it to Loki to be the one to put the puzzle pieces together so quickly. The little feline would never call himself a genius but no one could deny that he was smart. While Eugene refuse to give up too much information at first what he did say was just enough to help the male figure out the truth. This mission was all about protecting a demon. Oh the irony in this was rich. It was like some badly written joke. Angels and Demons were natural born enemies, even more so than cats and dogs. It was written in their very instinct to despise one another. It might've been funny for an outsider's perceptive but it was anything but funny to Loki. He knew Azazel far too well to know the moment he voiced his theory that the man would not take the news too well. It came as no surprise to him, unlike their potential client, to see Azazel get so physically upset. He couldn't blame him for it. It was bad enough that a demon wanted his help of all things but there was the issue with the kid.
Did Eugene have any idea what he had gotten himself into with his master? On the surface the one that really needed help was the human. Demons were foul creatures. They were wicked by nature and cruel. They had no qualms about killing or abusing humans to get what they wanted out of them. To be forced to work for one couldn't be the safest thing for someone as innocent as this kid. Looks could be deceiving though, and Loki knew that better than anyone. Loki looked almost as young and innocent as the human male beside him but he wasn't as innocent as most people thought. He had his secrets, he used to be a dirty little thief in the past, now he was working side by side with those in the criminal underground for a quick buck or two, he was even trained to be able to kill if things went south for him. He wasn't what he appeared to be and he didn't think that Eugene's situation was as clear as what others might see at a glance.
He didn't think the kid was outright lying to them. There was no way that he was with the way he was acting. No one could stink of fear on queue like this kid could unless they were an insanely good actor. The way he trembled and looked so scared when Azazel started grilling him on why he would be working for a demon could testify for that. What was this guy's story? Loki wanted to know just as much as Azazel did but he wasn't going to force an answer out of the human. Whatever history he had with his so called master was his choice to tell, no one could force him to say anything if he really didn't want to give an answer.
“Because I made a deal with her.” Eugene replied. Well, it looked like he wanted to give his side of the story after all. “It's...a long story. But if you have to know...” Eugene took a deep breath to steady himself before continuing. “I made a pact with my master a few years back to protect myself and my family. I sold my soul to her and she saved us from death. I won't defend what I did. It probably sounds stupid to people like you to do what I did. I know she didn't make that pact with me out of the kindness of her heart, so don't waste your time telling me how evil she is, or how she's just manipulating me because I know that already. But what is done is done and there is nothing that can change that. What's important is the here and now. I need to get her help as soon as possible before its too late.”
Loki didn't say anything while the boy told his story. He remained silent and just observed like he had done so far. There was plenty that he wanted to ask but he would reserve those nagging questions for later. The human's past decisions were not what they were here for. There was a job on the table but it had yet to be picked up. What he wanted to know now was what Azazel was going to do. Loki watched his friend closely. He could see the internal struggle that was going through the angel's mind. This job would be a hard one for him to deal with. Azazel and demons did not mix, it would take a lot of willpower just to hold his rage back enough to not try and kill the demon that hired him in the first place based on what he was told. But at the same time this was a job, a potentially well paying job. Then there was the whole 'the city is doomed if you don't' threat looming over the whole mess. What was he going to do?
Soon Loki got his answer. As much as Azazel didn't want to take on this hot mess he would take it, but there was a catch, he wanted Loki to come along. The human looked happy beyond belief to hear those words. “T-thank you. I mean it. I will call for a pick up and take you to meet her to negotiate a price as soon as possible. C-can you give me a moment?” Before anyone could say anything the human was already up off his feet and wandering off to probably make a call out of earshot. Loki watched the boy go before turning to Azazel.
“Are you really sure that you want to do this?” Loki asked the man once Eugene had disappeared. “There is a lot about this mission that we have no clue about. From what we are suppose to protect our 'client' from, to this pact Mr. Scaredypants made with her...I got a good feeling that this pact of theirs hasn't been fulfilled yet. He doesn't seem like he's lost his soul yet does he?” Loki had never seen a soulless person before but he had heard a little from someone who had lost theirs to tell that Eugene still had his intact. But why? Why would a demon not take the soul they had made a pact on to take? Something wasn't right there. “Beyond all of that can you keep yourself from killing this demon woman when you see her. I might be coming with you but there is only so much I can do to keep you from killing her when the time comes.”

Demons and Angels. Who would have thought that these two species were entirely different one another. There wasn't much to compare between the two factions as they interacted from one another. The idea of an angel working with a demon was a low for any angel at any form of authority. Azazel knew that as he would accept this job. Angels and Demons never mixed well. Oil and water. Light and darkness. Good and evil. It was blasphemy for an angel to help or even work with a demon as it was for the demons. It was like Azazel had become a turncoat who accepted a new life with demons.
That right now made the angel more enrage than anything else. The fallen angel didn't want to do it. But then again, contracts and his morals were conflicting with one another. What could he possibly do about it? Ignore it and receive less work than ever? Or suck it up and get it over as soon as possible? These thoughts play through the angel's head. He sighed and finished listening to the words of this human that stood before him. As the human responded to the angel's words of acceptance, Azazel watch as the guy head off somewhere with Loki.
He rubbed top of his forehead as he felt stressed from the situation at hand. "Y'know what Loki," Azazel asked. "This has to be the biggest mess I've ever gotten myself into." Azazel took the guy's seat with his legs sprawled out and arms hanging down the back of the bench. Azazel stared up a the sky, wanting a sign from his father on what he should but the ship wasn't gonna help him out. Like always which was a big pain. Just one time Azazel would like God to answer his plead or give him some advice on what he could done to be back home among his brothers and sisters. An angel that wanted his father everlasting attention. Was that so hard to ask for? Of course it was, that's why it was called Greed. Azazel scoffed some as Loki was talking to him. "I really have no choice for two reasons. Contracts are made to be fulfilled no matter what. If I decline this one, good luck for either of us getting paid and surviving." Azazel said with a bit of sass in his voice. " Then again you might start stealing to make ends meat like you did before, right?"
Azazel stuck his tongue at the kid but went back to a serious note. " Then the faith of this city rest on this boss that is a DEMON. Who needs my help like seriously?!" Azazel growled at the thought. A demon?! Like seriously, it was enough for the man to blow a gasket on this topic alone. He wanted to smite the demon as soon as he saw them but Azazel knew that logic would be bad for his business and the city if it was truly at stake. Azazel heard Loki's concerned speech about Azazel dealing with said demon. It was true Azazel wouldn't mind smiting away with this demon as a offering to his father but again the outcome always came out bad in his head.
He played a bit with his piercing above his eye some as he turn his head towards Loki. "Yeah I know, believe me is going to be tough to not kill this demon. I'll try my hardest not to kill them but if they are too much for me to handle and are a threat. They are as good as dead." Azazel's eyes gleamed a bit after making that claim on the demon boss's life. "But again, the positivity from you should keep me at bay from wanting malice so I'll be alright." Azazel reassured the kid with his trademark smile as he awaited for the meet up with soulless boy's boss.

This was going to be one interesting clusterfuck the duo would be walking into. Loki had known that there was something a little odd about this job but he didn't realize how bad it was until the boy Eugene finally admitted who wanted Azazel for this task. A demon. Out of all the people that could ever ask Azazel for their assistance it had to be a demon. The shifter wondered if this demonic female knew what she would be getting herself into or if she was just plain stupid. To ask Azazel to protect any demon was like asking Loki to babysit a pet mouse. The one put under their care had a very poor chance coming out of this thing alive. Hell, the mouse might have a better chance not becoming the little feline's next meal than this demon did surviving the fallen angel's wrath. For Loki hunting mice was all a part of his instincts. For Azazel it was more than that. He didn't have this lust for murdering demons purely out of instinct, he loathed their kind. There were a variety of reasons for it, he was sure Guillotine held some blame for Azazel's hatred, but either way the poor guy had his hands full with this case. Loki cracked a smile when Azazel confessed that this job was the worse thing he had accepted so far. “ Tell me about it.” the boy purred. “And here I thought I was the trouble maker.” he chuckled as he thought about this mission. Loki did have a natural talent for getting into sticky situations but even he knew when something was too much trouble to deal with. This mission was bad on main different levels but could they turn it down? It would be too hard to back out of this now given how Azazel already agreed to help. It was bad for business for a freelancer to go back on their word once a job was taken. He would have asked why Azazel even considered this job in the first place but the man gave him an answer before he even thought to ask. Azazel did have a point, rejecting a potential job did have a chance at hurting future business. Loki never once rejected a job offer laid on his feet, he was smart enough to know what kinds of jobs he didn't want so he could avoid getting the more troublesome jobs before he was even asked to do them. He never had to reject a job to know just how bad it would be to his career to do so. “Speak for yourself, I held up my end of the contract. All I was hired for from the start was give some information on you for my client. I did my part there, if you didn't want me to tag along I would still be in the clear.” the boy chuckled again when Azazel said what could happen if both their freelancing careers tanked. “At least if it comes to that I am better prepared for it. In my short time with you I learned that there are more valuables in a man's wallet than just the cold hard cash. Credit cards, identity information, it will be a cinch to steal enough identity information from a few people to live off of for awhile. I wouldn't even need to go that far with the amount of money I have saved up just in case shit hits the fan. We can last maybe a month or two on my savings while I forge us new identities. We'd have to skip town and start over fresh in a new place if you want to continue freelancing though.” He wasn't being completely serious when he spoke but there was truth in his words. Loki was no fool, after living so long on the streets he learned what he could to prevent himself from having to go back to his desperate way of living if something bad were to happen. Call it paranoia, but he wasn't going to make the same mistakes twice. Loki's thoughts went back on this mysterious employer. Did the fate of New Orland's really rest in the hands of a demon? According to Eugene it did. “As scaredy pants suggested that just might be the case.” the boy replied somberly. “Though that is just from his own perspective, there could be more that he doesn't know or isn't saying that will give us the full picture. We will have to see this boss for ourselves and find out won't we?” The full story was important but the most important thing that needed to be answered now was how capable was Azazel going to be in this mission. Loki knew all too well how his friend felt about this whole thing. He knew how stressful this could be for him, so he asked him if he thought he could do this. More so for Azazel than for himself. Call him crazy but Loki had some faith in the man to know he might be able to get through this with a bit of help. He just wanted to be sure that Azazel knew that too. It was nice to hear from the man himself how well he thought things were good. Loki couldn't help but smile when Azazel voiced how well he thought the shifter could help him keep his rage in check. Maybe the angel had a little too much confidence in Loki's abilities to keep him calm but he didn't want to disappoint. “I promise to do my best on that regard. I have been able to help there in the past so I don't see why I can't do so again. This might not be so bad though, its not like we are dealing with Gil. I doubt our client is as stupid as he is. If she is as stupid and vicious as him then you won't be the only one needing to be held back.” Hopefully he was right on that matter. This mission would take the two of them to complete. Azazel had the muscle needed to get the job done, but it was Loki's charm and self control that would help keep the darker side of the other male at bay. He would have to keep his cool if they both wanted to get out of this with no causalities. It didn't take long for the human boy to show up again to take them out of the park. Loki followed the human out of the park alongside Azazel towards a rather fancy looking limousine. Judging by the fancy car Loki was certain that whoever this demon was they would pay well. They better for the trouble this was going to cause. ******************************************************************************
“Mistress Lili, wake up!” The sudden flash of sunlight invading the room forced Ardat to wake up, when the vile human's prattling voice could not. The demoness hissed before pulling the blanket over her face to shield her from the sun's blinding rays. Lucifer almighty she hated the sunlight! She hated having to get up so damn early! “Leave me alone boy.” she growled at her human slave underneath her covers. Even as the words left her lips she knew they were pointless. Eugene had been around her long enough to know how much she hated being woken up before sunset. He rarely woke her up this early in the day without a good reason. Even if he did, he was smart enough to know she wouldn't do a damn thing to him over this rude awakening....yet. Whatever it was had to be important but all the same she really needed her sleep. Another hour or five wouldn't hurt would it? Surely whatever it was could wait for her to wake up on her own accord. She might have been able to fall back asleep once more if Eugene didn't pull her comfy blanket off her bed. “Stripes...throw something at him...” The demoness grumbled before she remembered that the tiger shifter wasn't laying next to her. Oh right, Stripes was dead. “Eugene, remind me to get a new pet shifter. I could use a new lovely creature to keep my bed warm.”“Mistress...” She could hear the human sigh as he came over to help pull her up out of her bed. “You can worry about replacements after you are safe. What's important now is making arrangements with your new bodyguard to keep you safe.”“And I told you the only way you can do that is by hiring an Angel. Now buzz off and let me sleep.” Ardat tried to crawl back into bed but Eugene pulled her back up onto her feet. She was just about to smack him for his insolence when she noticed the smile upon his face. Wait...he didn't.... “I found him already. I sent word home awhile ago that I was bringing the angel back to meet with you. He and his associate are waiting in your office right now to talk about payment. You should have been dressed and ready to meet them fifteen minutes ago.” “I got no word....” Ardat's voice trailed off as she tried to remember what had happened before her rude awakening. Not much could wake up the demoness when she slumbered besides Eugene or Stripes. At least nothing that wouldn't get a good beat down for it. Now that she thought about it, in the fogginess of her partially awakened mind there might have been someone that came into her room to get her up. Said person might've been thrown against a wall for their insolence. The demoness looked across the room where there was a noticeable dent in the wall that wasn't there when she had gone to bed. Well, there ended that mystery. “Never mind. I'll get going.” With a yawn Ardat walked out of the room towards her main office, ignoring the protest of her slave muttering some crap about her getting properly dressed. Whatever, she didn't need to waste time getting dressed. Whoever was waiting for her should be thankful that she bothered to put on a nightgown at all before she fell asleep. It took longer than she would have liked to drag her tired ass over to her office but finally she was here, and a little more awake for the business that laid ahead. She didn't hesitate to open the door and stroll right in. The moment that she stepped into the room she knew that Eugene wasn't joking when he said that he had found the angel. She could feel that vile holiness vibrating off the dark and handsome looking man standing in the room. “Well, well, well, what do we have here?” the demoness cooed as she look over the angel with a smile. Ardat had heard about a fallen angel working in the underground in passing before but she didn't know what he looked like. She was expecting something different when she came here to meet the angel. This was...different but much better looking than what she had in mind. And he had a little friend too. She didn't need to catch his scent to know that the blond one was a shapeshifter. Interesting...perhaps she could knock out two birds with one stone today. “You are cuter than I thought Mr. Godsend...and you brought company with you. A little gift for me perhaps?” She teased as she slid into her seat. “I trust my servant has been good to you and made you comfortable but lets dispense with formalities and get right down to business. How much?”

In the world of a freelancers, one simply does not give up a job so easily. A few ways it could be decline and revoke by the hired gun were simple ones. Ethics. Basically against the hired guns' morals and what they even say no to for some rest. Another would be cheated by the employer. Straight up rob them blind and swindle them into working for free without any payment. And last at least, trust. If the employer or hired gun don't trust one another then the business portion is out of the window and dissolves. Now why Azazel was steadily going to work for this demon is beyond anyone's way of thinking. The fallen angel could've decline it with a big fat NO when Eugene told him about his boss that was a demon. And knowing Azazel, he didn't trust a 100% his employer for the fact that they were a demon anyway. Yet the fallen angel was going through with this job. It must had to be the payment. Before Loki and Azazel left, they were escorted to a limousine. Money talks of course but would Azazel accept it? The fallen angel was complicating over that idea as he rode in the car to his destination.
"Again L tell me why we are doing this, for I'm no quite sure anymore." Azazel said bluntly as he lounged himself against the seat of the car. He was trying to kill time as they were travel but boy was it boring. This has to be more boring than his time in limbo. At least he had to fight on the constant. " A demon asks for the help of the only angel that works as a freelancer of all New Orlands for protection in order to protect New Orlands,." Azazel blew air a the tip of his hair that wasn't shaven off. "Angels and demons don't work so well together but I'm like curious if this demon has a few missing screws in her head. Or maybe I'm finally going crazy," Azazel said, casually playing his hair. Azazel needed to know what was the true reason about this demon. Eugene did tell him some of the important parts but like he said he's nothing more than a slave to this demon who gave up his mortal soul to serve. The thought of that right there made the angel want to bless the child and heal him. But with such limited grace, that job would need to happen when he's stronger than he is now.
Azazel sighed and decided to close his eyes as he listen to Loki talk back to him about what he said. Suddenly it appeared that they made it to their destination. A somewhat shady building with something that grabbed the attention of anyone who came near it. "Yep, totally a place that would belong to a demon." Azazel mumbled to himself out loud. They were directed to the office as Eugene went to go fetch his master. "Loki, this place just reeks of demonic energy," Azazel said as the room disgusted him. He could feel the power of the demon with its hellish pressure being brought out around them both.
It was sickening to be in the room at all. Azazel sigh once more as he brought up his angelic aura around him and made himself at ease. Also it was to serve as an alert that an angel was in the presence of this place. He wanted it to be known that he was here to speak with this demon. "This demon better have a convincing story than her lackey. We need to know what we are getting into before-," Azazel said as a unknown voice came out of nowhere but a dark part of the building. It was the demoness that Eugene spoke of earlier. Apparently his would be master.. Rage slowly beginning inside of the Devil's Godsend Angel.as she made her way to the desk. Something else triggered the angel into drawing his blade. She was flirting with the angel. The audacity she had to do so. And calling Loki a gift. She was just as short as Loki even shorter perhaps. Resembling a child in a way with such youth and life. Typical demon tactics and whatnot. What took the cake was she referred to him to that stupid nickname that wasn't given to him by the city.
It took every fiver of Azazel's being not to sound out holy chants and words towards her. Trying to cleanse the room as we speak. Yet he took a deep breathe and exhaled out before speaking. " Well I'm aware that you know who I am and what my partner is correct?" Azazel said with a small smile across his face. It has been a while that he dealt with a demon with such a strong aura around them. " I'm not cheap and I'm sure you can afford me as well. So here's what going to happen," Azazel stood as he spoke in front of her. " Tell us the real reason why I'm being hired by you and who you are. The price I'll tell you later if I believe your story that your errand boy told me earlier." Azazel again had to seem like he was in control but yet he felt this battle of the minds wasn't going to be in his favor as much as he would like.

The car ride to the demon's place was one of the longest car rides Loki had taken in awhile. It wasn't the destination that made it feel incredibly long but the boy's nerves. This mission was going to be one of his most challenging ones yet. Though both he and Azazel were considered freelancers but despite their job profession they did very different work. Azazel was a natural born fighter so he was used to taking on missions that required him to throw his muscle around. The angel was very good at protecting clients or places he was hired to protect, he was also handy to have around if one needed to confront dangerous enemies, he could even be a good hitman if he took an interest in that line of work. But Loki never took on missions like that. Loki's jobs were a little less violent than that. He was good at delivering goods to certain shady individuals, since he was smart he was able to run his own small information network with other supernaturals or younger members of the underground, he started working in intelligence, he even dabbled a little in heists thanks to his skills as a thief. None of the work he did was anything that was obviously dangerous. This job was a first for him as a freelancer.
Could he even do this? Azazel was with him and all but Loki wasn't ignorant enough to think the man would be able to protect him if things turned ugly. God he hoped his training would be enough to help him make it through whatever battle was to come. At least he had come prepared. Loki didn't go anywhere without being armed. He still had his knife on hand to protect himself in his pocket, then there were the throwing knives that were much more concealed on his person. There were eight in total. Luckily for him they could be more useful in this mission if he was right about what they were going to face. The smaller blades wouldn't look like much to a demon at first glance, but the second one sliced their flesh they would be in for a very painful surprise. Each blade was coated with holy oil, including his main weapon. The holy weapons were something of Loki's own doing as a better defensive measure against Guillotine if the stupid hellhound ever tried to harm him again, but they were just as effective against any demon. Hopefully they would be enough for the time being.
Loki was very thankful for Azazel's little rant during their car ride since it was a bit of a distraction from his anxious thoughts. There was no time for worrying over what could happen if things turned sour. He had to keep his mind clear and focused if he was going to help his friend out. “Right now I would say its for the cash.” Loki replied when Azazel first spoke. “If you think about it that way at least it will make the whole ordeal a little less bothersome. If this demon could afford something like this that means she has to be wealthy enough to pay us well. Given the nature of what we are being hired to do too you would have to demand a large sum anyway. That has to be worth looking forward to right?” Loki considered Azazel's next words carefully. There was no doubt that on the surface this whole thing seemed rather weird. A demon asking an angel for help was a baffling concept to anyone, but that was only if one couldn't see between the lines. “Maybe neither of you are going crazy?” he suggested. “As insane as this whole demon and angel working together thing sounds it might seem like the more practical solution to this demon. Think about it, would you turn down the one person that could help save you and your investments just because you don't like them?”
A smart leader had to make sacrifices sometimes, even if it meant having to cave in a little to common rabble as Loki's old man would put it. Loki doubted this demon female really gave a damn about the city, but if she had some kind of investment in this place anything that threatened it, her status within it, or her life itself had to be dealt with by any means necessary. Azazel might not understand this yet but he did. After what felt like an eternity their car finally came to a stop. The duo stepped out and followed the human boy into the mansion. Loki had to admit this demon had some taste. This estate had to be the largest place that Loki had ever seen. It was even bigger than the palace that he grew up in. Even the office they were brought to was somewhat impressive. It wasn't impressive enough to catch Azazel's attention, the angel was far more focused on the demon's aura that covered the place. While Loki wasn't sensitive to aura's like Azazel was, or had the overly sensitive nose of a canine, even he picked up on the scent of the demon. No doubt this room was probably one she spent a lot of time in. The shifter was tempted to change forms just so he could get a better smell of her scent to determine just what they were dealing with when the demoness entered the room.
The demon's appearance was nothing like what Loki had imagined. He had thought she would be some mature, intimidating, looking woman. Instead what he and his friend was greeted was with a rather small looking child, who looked like they just got out of bed. But there was something radiating off of her that made the boy tense the moment she entered the room. She might be smaller than he was but she felt dangerous. It took a lot for him to not draw his blade out when Azazel did, especially when she turned her attention straight at him. He did not like where this was going but he kept silent to let his partner do the talking first. The demoness turned her attention back on Azazel for a moment, slowly looking him up and down as the angel spoke. “I know what you are. I could feel that foul holy aura invading my personal space all the way from my bedroom. Your looks make up for it though. I didn't expect your companion though.” The female smiled as she gave Loki the same good look over as she spoke. “I recognize a shapeshifter when I see one. A feline one at that too, cute. I had a tiger one not too long ago but he passed away. Such a shame he died, he was such a good pet but now I will have to replace him.”
“Good luck finding one. I might be a feline but I am not a tiger.” Loki replied coolly. He did not like where this conversation was going but he wouldn't let his discomfort show, not while he was dealing with a potentially dangerous demon all while he had to make sure his friend didn't take a stab at it. Thankfully the demon let his comment pass and changed the subject to why they were here. It was time to talk business. On that front Azazel was quick to get on that. He was blunt and straight to the point which seemed to please the client greatly. “I wouldn't be interested in you if you came cheap.” the female replied. “You get what you pay for so I don't want to take any chances when it comes to something like this. But lets get one thing straight. If I plan to hire you, you will play by my rules. I am no mood to play your stupid holier than thou games like your kind seem so fond of playing. You can't make demands with me to tell you the truth. If I chose to tell it then I will, if I lie you will have to either suck it up or leave. I don't care which. Hiring you was not fully my idea so I don't care if you leave. That being said though I see no reason to lie about what I need you for and why. There is no benefit in it for me to keep secrets from you if it will get in the way of the job so go ahead and tell me what you already know.”
“Your servant didn't tell us much.” Loki stated. “As far as he was willing to tell us is that you angered someone, and that person is capable of killing you. He also pointed out that if you were to die then New Orlands would be screwed. What we want to know is the fully story behind this and who you are.”
The demoness chuckled a little at his story. “What a surprise, that poor sweet fool gave you such a vague story. Let me guess, he was either too nervous to speak anymore than that, or he thought you might reject the job if he gave you anymore information?...What he said is not false though.” The female fell silent for a moment and twirled her hair around her finger as she contemplated how to explain everything that happened. “My name is Ardat Lili and I am a part of the most powerful demonic groups that run this city. I am sure you two know there are certain circles comprised of non-humans that influence this city so I won't bore you with all the details. Me and my group hold a fair amount of power between us. Together we keep things running, we do our business, keep things going, and no one is any wiser for it. But lately there have been...disagreements amongst our group. Unlike you angels, demons aren't single minded, no two demons think a like so there are times when we can't get along. Its simple enough to maintain balance by force. I have been in charge for a long time but a shift in power is threatening my hold on it. One of my group's newer members has grown rather cocky in the last few years and is trying to kill me in order to take over. This fool in question has never been very strong but somehow he has gained enough power and influence that he has been able to kill a large portion of my allies and seeks to kill me. That might not seem like a big deal to you but if he succeeds he plans to start a war between every other supernatural and human. He will kill and enslave whoever he can all for the sake of power.”

The room was filled by the power and scent of the two supernatural creatures. The angel and demon noted how they could feel each other's vile energy that was opposite to each of theirs. Azazel knew that he look far away from what an angel was suppose to look like. Maybe it has been what he been though, losing his grace or maybe he was becoming less and less like the angel he was suppose to be. Dark, broody and dressed with a lot of markings. The ideal image of angel that has fallen from Heaven.
But the demon was one to talk as well. She was the size of a child. Being born into the world as the purest of things that is represented on this earth. So excuse the angel for believing that this was the demon's true form. It disgusted him and anger him as Azazel looked on however he kept his cool and remained calm. The room was suffocating with the two beings standing in the same room. One smiling while the other was about business. Funny how it was the demon smiling at the situation despite the problem she was having that she needed the angel's help.
After Azazel's little speech being said to the demon, she offered her response to his words. He listened intensively to her words carefully for if she said something he didn't like. It would be her death wish from the Devil's Godsend and see why he was called that. Testing Azazel was not the best choice for anyone to do especially if they were doing so intentionally. Claiming that he would play a game with his righteous sense of morale. It seem like she was trying to insult him on purpose now. Giving him an ultimatum on what she wants him to follow by and without any rebuttal from the angel as she knew that it would either conflict with his integrity or get him upset. Yet the angel remained calm and had a small smile across his face. He wasn't like most angels for a reason, he wasn't too much on his holier than thou myself as the fallen angel first arrived to New Orlands. He wasn't gonna walk out on this job. It would make the angel look bad for the city. Plus losing business again wasn't the best idea at all. "I accept the term and conditions that you have bestowed to me....demon." Azazel said with a bit of venom in his voice as he still had that grin across his face. He wasn't let this demon think she was in complete control as much as she would like to be. " But understand it's best that you let me know what's going on with you or I can't do my job."
Loki started us off with questioning the demoness. Over the time Loki had been training with Azazel, he gotten a bit more brave when it came to talking to others. Azazel was proud of him and snickered some as he crossed his arms. He waited for the response of the demoness to the line of questions that embark from his partner. She started to chuckle some. God, demons were so frigging cocky and Azazel couldn't figure out why they were so confident. He didn't understand it and for he moment, it made his head spin some. However, he didn't let it be known to the demon for she would either exploit it or something. It's best she didn't know at all. His eyes just traveled and lock themselves onto her. She peaked his interest and caused his head to cock itself to the side. "Lili, huh?" Azazel asked as he stared at the ceiling. "Alright, you want us to help you deal with this upstart because he wants to kill you for power. Typical demons." Azazel said, trying not to laugh as much with it for the situation was funny as the pits of hell. Demons fighting over whose in power like a pack of savages made the angel chuckle. Such chaos and disorder in their world is so bad. " What a lovely thing you have going over in your domain, Lili," Azazel said as he snickered some. "If it's messing with New Orlands, it messing with my only source of business so I'll help you but I need some more about this guy or kid." He look over to Loki and had a sweet smile across his face, loving the situation the demon got herself into.

This was one interesting meeting. Now that Lili had made her way into her office and saw what greeted her there she didn't mind at all that she had been woken up from her much needed slumber. It wasn't every day that a demon, even one of her stature, got to chat it up with an angel. Angels and demons did not get along, even most fallen angels were treated with scorn and gave demons the same treatment. An encounter like this was rare, and could be potentially be very dangerous. Lili was an old powerful demon but her strength didn't make her any less vulnerable to the holy powers of an angel, even one who was slowly losing their grace. If this angel chose to fight her he would would not take her down so easily. Her unholy powers were just as toxic to any angel as their powers were to her. He wouldn't leave this place alive if she could help it. She doubted that she would have to fight though. Her little Eugene was the one that brought this angel and his little shapeshifting friend to her, the young human boy could be a little naive but she trusted the boy enough to know he wouldn't bring someone who would attempt to take her life in her home. Besides, the angel was cute looking. So was his friend. Even when she put her sole focus on the angel she didn't let the little shifter slip her mind. Now that her own shapeshifter was dead she wouldn't mind looking for a new pet. That boy would do nicely if she could get him off the angel's hands.
But that was a goal for another time. For now Lili had to put her focus on the task at hand. Like it or not she needed the upper hand on her troublesome competitor, and the one trump card she could draw was standing right here before her, all she needed to do was get it to come willingly into her hands. It wasn't going to be an easy task to get it completely under her control. She could see that the moment she met him that it wouldn't be easy. He wasn't making things any easier when he spoke too. Like any angel this one acted like he wanted to run the show. It was more amusing than it was annoying to have the angel try to tell her how he wanted things. He was a business man, she could respect that. It was a turn on really. Lili kept smiling as the man spoke but once he was done she laid out her terms. What he requested was simple but stupid. He made the mistake all angels and even some humans did, he assumed all demons were liars. Like any demon Lili only lied when she felt the need to do so. Right now there was no sense in it so she had no problems telling the truth.
Lili smiled when the angel gave her his fake courtesies. “That's good to hear beautiful, but I don't need the lectures on what I should do. I have been in this business and this world for a long time. Perhaps longer than you, so I know how things work. This might come as a little surprise to you love but not all demons are liars. If we lie we do so for our best interest. Right now I see no reason to do so. I do not lie when I make a deal with someone, not even the humans who give up their souls to strike a deal with me. So this request was pointless. I will tell you what you need to know for you to do your part. All you need to do is ask.”
The one to do the questioning though was the shifter. Lili turned her attention on the little feline. Looked like the boy wasn't just here as decoration was he? That was good. She was rather curious as to what the shifter could do. For now she just listened to his questions and answered what she could. It wasn't all that complicated to explain. The situation was pretty clear cut, an old associate of hers was giving her trouble and she needed him gone. It was a simple story but somehow it seemed to amuse the angel, his little grin was met with one of her own. This angel was just dying to get under her skin but she wouldn't let his words bother her. “Surprised? Power is what makes this world go round love. I would think someone in your line of work would realize that fact by now. My kind isn't the only one for a lust for power, we are just more straight about it than others...But yes, this is the reason why you are here. The boy though...” Lili turned to give the shapeshifter a wicked smile. “I was expecting an angel but wasn't expecting this cute little friend of yours. You might want to think twice about getting to involved in this sweetheart. The last shifter that got tied up in this mess ended up dead. He was such a precious creature. Tiger shifters are so hard to come by. Such a pity that he died, even more of a shame that bastard devoured his soul too. It would be a shame if something were to happen to this one too, he's too cute to be risking his life so carelessly.”
“You don't have to worry about me, I might not be a tiger but I am more than capable of taking care of myself.” The boy smiled like her warning was nothing. He was even cuter than she had expected, she definitely needed to take him in once she had the chance.
“My, my, my, what a confident little friend you have there. I really hope you are as capable as you think you are. At least give your role in all of this some thought once you have a better idea of what you will be dealing with.” The angel's question came about at the right time, she was going to give them details on her little problem anyway so now was a good time. “My little problem goes by the name Raum. He's an annoying thing, only a century old, and like any young demon he is prong to being destructive. All young demons or the simple minded sort tend to only have murder, torment, and sex on the brain. The only difference between him and any run of the mill demon is he is smarter and more ambitious. He also happened to be born more powerful than most, enough that he could rival some the weaker elders in terms of raw power. For the rest of us he's had to resort to other means. He has a lot of connections within our ranks with those of worth, and the assassinations he has succeeded in doing allowed him to gain more power that he had no chance of getting normally.” Lili rummaged through her desk as she talked to pull out a thick folder. “Here kitten take this, that folder contains every bit of information I have on the bastard. Every little detail of his past, his activities, pictures of his human form, and anything else that you can think of.” Lili let the shifter take the folder out of her hands before turning to the angel again. “That should be more than enough to tell you all that you need to know about the target. You are free to take a day to look over it if you wish. If there is anything that you want to know that isn't in that feel free to ask. For now I would like to move on to other matters. First I would like to talk about your price. Since there is two of you at the moment who want to take on this job I am sure that you will want a lot just for this mission. But there is more that I want to do than just take care of my former associate, I am willing to pay extra for that if you are interested.”
